Remote Productivity Hacks

Avoid screen burnout by following these rules 📐

It’s been said that humans weren’t meant to spend all day hunched over computers. It can lead to poor posture, bad eyesight, and even disrupt your sleep.

But remote work is leading to increased screen time, and significant portion of employees still prefer it to an office. With that in mind, here are a few ways to stay healthy and productive at a remote job.

  1. Establish a Morning Routine: Start your day with a consistent routine before starting work. Go outside, exercise, or start a daily journal before turning your attention to work.

  2. Create a Dedicated Workspace: Set up a specific area that’s solely for work. That way, you can easily separate your professional and personal life — mentally and physically.

  3. Use the Pomodoro Technique: Work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break. Repeat this cycle to maintain focus and reduce burnout.

  4. Limit Social Media Distractions: Use website blockers or app limits to reduce time spent on personal platforms during work hours.

Remember, burnout is real. If you want to excel in your career, you need to stay focused and understand the limitations of remote work. Focus, prepare, and execute and you’ll thrive in your new job.

Gen Z Drives AI Adoption

AI is becoming omniprescent!

Gen Z is reshaping the workplace with their love for Artificial Intelligence. The workforce’s youngest demographic now accounts for a quarter of all employees, and have become increasingly reliant on AI as the technology improves.

Now, that skill set is filtering into office culture at large. Young workers are less interested in mundane tasks, and want to spend time on meaningful projects. A recent article by Technical.ly reports 58% of workers spend less than half a typical work week on meaningful work that drives results. Other reports have claimed 52% of Gen Zs trust generative AI to help them make informed decisions at work.

Now, new roles are emerging to help bridge the gap. Companies are hiring “Chief AI Officers,” and allocating more of their budgets to incorporate the technology. With all these changes comes a demand for flexibility and efficiency, and a reshaping of what productivity looks like.

An All-Inclusive Revolution

All-inclusive vacations are on the rise

Vacations are meant to be hassle-free. For Gen Z, that means reviving a tried and true travel plan: the all-inclusive resort. A new study by Travel Weekly reports that searches for all-inclusive stays are up 60% year-over-year, with 41% of Gen Z travelers citing minimal stress as their top reason for choosing all-inclusives.

Mexico has emerged as a top destination for the market. Puerto Vallarta and Cabo are just two of the tropical destinations drawing a younger crowd, thanks to warm weather, gourmet dining, and a plethora of off-site cultural trips to choose from.

TikTok is doing its part, too—the hashtag #allinclusive has racked up 538 million views in the past two years.
