ICYMI: Cohorts Kick Off This Week – Get Ready to Connect & Grow! 🎉

Hey Team,

We have been busy at RoadMap preparing for the week (and months!) ahead which promise to advance you faster and further towards your goals.

But before diving into that, we want to make sure to take a moment to congratulate our members who have gotten job offers this week:

Here's what's ahead this week:

1. Cohorts! Official cohort meetings launch this week. Here's what to do now:

   • Go to your community cohort page found HERE.

   • Introduce yourself to your other cohort members in your cohort chat.

   • Block your calendars for this week's cohort date and the ones following. Cohort meetings are mandatory/must attend meetings.

     • If for some reason you cannot attend, it is critical you email Mackie at [email protected] to let her know. 

       • The meetings are planned for all cohort members to be in attendance, so make sure you block your calendars and show up for yourself and the other RoadMap members.

   • Prepare for this meeting by readying a topic to share with you cohort coach and other members. Focus on either your current role, job search, or your career. Example topics that we’ve heard from our members are below:

     • I'm exhausted working full time now and trying to figure out what work/life balance is.

     • I'm loving my new job, and I want to be great at everything, but I feel like I have so much to learn.

     • I'm not sure how to communicate well with my boss - she is busy and I'm not sure when to go to her with questions.

     • I'm not loving my job but I know it is too early to leave.

     • I've moved to a new city and I am trying to figure out the balance of starting my new job and building a friend network.

     • I've been on the job search for a while and I'm feeling defeated.

   • Nothing is off limits. This is your space and your trusted career advisory team. Be open minded and come to your meeting prepared to listen, learn, connect and share.

2. Thursday Guest Speaker: Julie Thompson

   • There are few better connectors in the world than mastermind networker Julie Thompson who has made a career (and a business) out of building a smart and sophisticated network that advances your career and your business.  Julie started her career in PR at Fallon Worldwide and then later moved to famed creative agency Leo Burnett. After a wildly successful career in the advertising and media industries, she launched her own firm, Julie Thompson, Inc. which is a strategic advisory firm that sits at the center of the advertising world. Julie's secret sauce is going beyond small talk and creating meaningful connections that drive business growth and last.

3. New Member Intros!

   • We have a slew of new RoadMap members in our community.  Make sure to find them on our members intros section and check to see if they are in your area so you can meet in person and get to know each other!
