Credit Up, Debt Rises💳
Generation Z is making strides in improving their financial standing, according to a recent Experian study.
The average FICO credit score for Gen Z, aged 18 to 26, has risen to 680 — a 6-point increase from 2020 — placing them within the "good" credit range but still 35 points below the national average of 715.
However, there's been a significant increase in Gen Z's average credit card debt, now averaging $3,262 — a 14.3% rise from 2022. This trend aligns with broader patterns across all generations, where the national average credit card debt stands at $6,501.
Gen Z's financial habits are evolving with a notable adoption of Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services like Afterpay. Nearly three-quarters of Gen Zers have used BNPL services in the past month, a trend also embraced by Millennials and Gen X.
Overall, while Gen Z faces challenges with increasing credit card debt, their improving credit scores and adaptive financial behaviors indicate a generation actively working toward better financial health.
“Inside Out 2” Shines✨
Mental Health goes mainstream! 🌟
"Inside Out 2" just made history by becoming Pixar’s top-grossing film ever, raking in $1.25 billion worldwide and surpassing "Incredibles 2", according to AdAge.
Disney’s marketing team faced the challenge of bringing audiences back to theaters. By partnering with Gen Z favorites like Bubble Skincare and Uber Teen, they created an unmissable buzz, turning the movie into a cultural phenomenon.
The film’s success highlights the power of in-person experiences in a streaming-dominated world. Disney’s multi-platform strategy effectively captured attention, reminding us of the magic of shared events.
"Inside Out 2" also resonates deeply with Gen Z due to the themes of mental health and emotional growth. By exploring emotions like anxiety and embarrassment, the film offers a relatable look into the complexities of growing up, striking a chord with a generation that values openness about mental well-being.
Take a cue from the film and prioritize your mental health by acknowledging and embracing all of your emotions. 🌿
