A recent report by TELUS Health reveals the profound effects of financial stress on Canadian workers, with nearly a quarter stating that their financial situation has negatively impacted their productivity. The connection between financial well-being and mental health is stark, as 28% of workers identify finances as their primary source of stress, far outweighing work, health, or personal relationships.

Younger workers and parents are disproportionately affected, with workers under 40 three times more likely than those over 50 to experience productivity loss due to financial stress. Parents are 50% more likely than non-parents to report similar struggles. Additionally, individuals without emergency savings are five times more likely to face productivity challenges compared to those with a financial safety net.
